What are the advantages and disadvantages to Metal Spikes for baseball?
This is the first year i am able to switch over, but i am a bit hesitant because i heard it takes while to get used to. Are molded cleats just as good, or do metal cleats give me a big advantage?
They are longer, give better grip especially in wet weather, are much more durable, and are often the only option in many of the high end shoes.
The main disadvantage is the danger, that is the reason that they aren't used in youth leagues. They are much more destructive to a person getting cleated than molded cleats.
