I need advice on pitching machines ?
I'm thinking about buying a pitching machine for someone for Christmas. He's in college and being scouted by minor league teams. I want something that he can use for practice and that is auto-fed and can take some abuse (preferably also not too heavy to take in or outdoors). The problem is it needs to be under $350. Preferably waaay under. Haha. Any suggestions on the best models or where I can find some good quality inexpensive ones? Advice?
DO NOT BUY ONE!!! They are useless. Buy a tee or an L screen and have someone pitch to you. You can use a tee to work on driving the ball, your timing gets so off during pitching machines that it could mess you up during a game. So honestly man, get a tee and some whiffle balls and work on your swing. Buy a tarp or something also to use as a wall to hit towards.
